“I’ve been training with Mark for almost six years. The reason I hired a trainer was to ENSURE that I would go to the gym by having pre-paid appointments. That was the initial incentive I had. When I met Mark, I told him I had severe lower back pain on the left and my right knee was in pain because of a break I suffered a few years earlier. I could hardly get down on the floor, much less get up without his help. But Mark, who admitted that he thought I would drop out, patiently worked with me – as long as I made my best efforts to follow his directions. Six years later, I’m working out with Mark six days a week. I have built up such strength and endurance over the years. Before I would be out of breath walking up a flight of stairs at my house; now I just bound up the stairs – no problem. I can carry all my groceries in at the same time rather than go back and forth from the trunk to the kitchen. I feel good and I look good! I’m in the best health I’ve ever been in my life. Oh, by the way, I’m just shy of 58 years young.” ~ Hollie
When I started working with Mark in 2010 I was in bad shape. I had a messed up lower back and serious problems with my calves. I couldn’t run and it hurt to lift weights. Mark started me basically from ground zero – I was a true “special needs” client. They say you have to walk before you can run, but Mark told me I had to crawl, walk, jog, and then finally run. As hard as it was, I followed his instructions to the letter. I’m 48 years old and now in the best shape of my life. I’ve been in the military for over 20 years and I’m one of only three guys in my squadron who can get a perfect 100% on my PT test. It took almost a year to get here, but it was worth it. In 2011 I went with Mark on his annual hike up Mt. Whitney (tallest mountain in the continental United States) and I made it without any problems. Mark really knows what he’s doing!

“It is hard to believe that I have been training with Mark for six years now and I couldn’t ask for a better trainer! I began training with Mark in college after I had put on the “freshman fifteen” (and then some). He helped me bring my weight down and my confidence up. Mark has helped me meet a variety of fitness goals such as losing weight, building muscle, gaining endurance, and eating healthy. With his guidance and support, health and fitness has now become a part of my daily routine. He holds me accountable and motivates me to be the best version of myself!” ~ Kari
“When I first began working with Mark, I was recovering from shoulder surgery. My goal was to merely increase the strength of my right arm and get some physical activity on a regular basis. I went from 3 pound weights to bench pressing 50 pounds in a matter of 9 months. My shoulder is now in FANTASTIC shape. I have lost weight and toned up other areas as well. I feel great! I am stronger and healthier than I have been in years. Mark is highly proficient in both fitness and nutrition. Our sessions are entertaining and informative. We laugh and discuss a variety of topics throughout the sessions. Working out has become enjoyable and productive. I highly recommend Mark Brackenhoff as a physical trainer.” ~ Jenny
“I have been an avid lifter for over ten years, but stopped getting results several years ago. I was referred to Mark by a friend and went to speak with him thinking he really couldn’t teach me too much since I’d trained for so long already. I was wrong about that. Mark showed me a lot of things about developing strength that I didn’t know. He worked with me and helped me learn the correct techniques for my lifting and explained things to me in a way that made sense. Anytime I can, I work with Mark and always learn something from him. He’s fun to train with, has a great sense of humor, and seems to really enjoy teaching people how to exercise correctly. If you have a chance to work with him, I’d highly recommend it!” ~ Dan
